What To Expect
CHUKKA Ocean Outpost at Sandy Bay
Start your safari experience with a pickup from your Montego Bay or Negril hotel. Board your air-conditioned minibus or coach and travel to the safari ranch in Sandy Bay.
When you arrive, get a safety briefing and tour rundown from an instructor. Learn how to drive your ATV, watch a demonstration, and strap on your helmet for a practice ride. Once you feel confident on your four-wheel bike, set off on your adventure with an experienced guide leading the way!
Rumble through the rugged countryside and as you gain confidence, pick up speed on your bike. Splash through puddles, speed past citrus plantations, roar up and down hills, and thrill as you bump along the twisting dirt trails.
Journey through the lush plains of the Blue Hole Estate, pass the beautiful community of Cascade in the parish of Hanover, and trundle by the farming village of Smithfield. Pause at one of the island’s oldest Presbyterian churches, built by slaves in 1840; and climb through forested slopes to a mountain viewpoint, at 2,200 feet (670m) above sea level, to admire the panoramic views.
Along the way, discover some of Jamaica’s native flora and fauna, and hear from your guide how some plants are used in the island’s beloved herbal remedies.
When the time comes, return to the safari ranch. Leave your ATV and perhaps revive your energies with a meal or drinks (both at own expense) at the ranch bar and grill.

OMG!!!! This excursion was EVERYTHING!!!! If you are on the fence about it...GO FOR IT!!! You won't be disappointed. There was a slight delay getting there due to traffic which was an adventure in itself

THIS WAS AN EXPERIENCE WORTH WRITING ABOUT!!!!!..So where do I even begin? I've had the pleasure of being in the presence of a few young men that made my girl's trip to Jamaica Montego Bay one of the most memorable vacation ever. From the moment we arrive at Chukka in Montego Bay we were greeted with welcoming smiles. They were so professional ..I felt so comfortable getting on that ATV ride everything went just as they explained it. Thank you so much to Troy,Damian,Ralph Chris and Raheem You guys are definitely an asset to your company.Your company should be proud of have gentlemen like you working for them and making sure that people get their money's worth while they're out there especially people that are weary and unsure coming from different countries the fact that you've left a memorable impression on me and my family means the world to us .I will definitely return. Chukka is one of the best tour place to go for ATV ride, horseback riding and much more and it's a family orientated place and you will not regret it ...until next ....

I enjoyed the staff and the vibe here. The staff looked out for us and made sure we were safe but had fun. We did 3 excursions, zip line, atv and horseback riding. It was very enjoyable. Wish the horse back riding had a beach side tour that lasted a little better. Didn’t take away the enjoyment of the activity though. 2 thumbs up! Can’t remember everyone’s name but Nazair and Andreas crews were great! Worth the trip for sure!

The experience was amazing it was fun and educational. Venessa, taneisha and deidre-ann were amazing then zip line with Giovanni and Wayne was very thrilling fill with laughter they were very good at what they do then goes river tubing with the Indian guy I thought his name was knockis At first I thought the zip line was number one for me. But river tubing beat it by far…they were all good tour guide but tubing was the best… he got everyone singing and laughing and doing riddles he thought us a lot about the weather, trees the river

They should tell you the weight limit before booking. I wasn’t aware of the weight limit until I booked the excursion and received an email. It was difficult contacting Chukka via phone but I did download what’s app to communicate. They should provide Bob Marley tours. The zip line crew , atv crew, and rafting crew were nice. My only concern was when it came to tipping in US dollars and being told that the jmd dollar was less when it is only less in America. Overall a nice experience and I would do it again. Just please work on the request for tips part being as though we have already paid for the excursion itself. Lastly, on the return back to the hotel on the hotel we were on the side of the road waiting for people because the dispatch asked the shuttle driver to wait… it wasn’t a safe decision to do. Especially the way people drive in the area and just sitting on the side of the road.
