Amazing time at Appleton Estate

We went with Tui for a trio excursion to Appleton Estate rum distillery, YS Falls and Pelican Bar
The entire excursion cost $157 including entry, light lunch and dinner.
We were collected from Royalton Negril hotel at 7.30am and our 1st stop which was at Juici Patties, which were so delicious, fresh and tasty. They were free of charge plus the shop had toilets if needed.
Then onto Appleton Estate rum distillery.
The Estate is so beautiful and the staff so knowledgeable, we learnt a lot and had so much fun.
As we walked in we received a welcome drink which of course was a cocktail with Appleton rum, delicious. I really liked the ginger tasting cocktail.
We started the tour with a video on a projector telling you really interesting facts about the company and the people behind the rum. The factory that produces what many consider the finest rums in Jamaica. We were shown the 100’s of barrels of Appleton rum which was so astounding.
Then we tasted some real sugarcane and brown sticky malaska sugar. We learned about the distillation process, my husband juiced his own sugar cane manually. Finally we were shown how to taste the 3 different Appleton Rums.
I would 100% recommend a visit to Appleton Rum Distillery.

Lovely and informative visit to this distillery. Well worth it and lovely to try their famous rums.
The trip up the mountain is not for the faint hearted, but on arrival you are given a reviving cocktail to start your tour off. A visit to the shop leaves you financially ruined! But great tasting momentos to take home x

The overall experience was a great one. Our driver Franklin and chaperone Denise (Dee-Nice) ensured that we were properly catered to. They took us on a Our tour guide Tiffany was the "bomb", she answered all our questions and along with the team of presenters at the different stops ensured that we were fully immersed in the process. She also made the Rum tastings an entertaining and educational memory.

This was a great tour and an overall great experience. Jessica did an amazing job at the distillery telling us all about the Appleton estate and then walking us through the rum tasting. Stacy Ann and Super Dave were excellent tour guides and bus drivers and kept us entertained coming and going from the port.

Amazing experience. Andre made the experience the most informative excursion we have ever experienced. We learned so much from him! Can’t not thank him enough. The rum was great to taste. Got to bottle my own rum, so cool!

I visited Appleton Estate as the first excursion for my 30th birthday. We were a party of 12 people and we had an amazing time. It was the right blend of fun and learning for my group and the rum is amazing!

First impressions were great...handed a huge (and strong) Rum Cocktail as soon as we walked in!
We're taken on a complete tour of tge factory and learned how the rum is produced in the past and also in modern day.
The tasting session was very good, actually went through how to get the best of each sample. Would recommend.

Roads in Jamaica are...

Roads in Jamaica are tricky and we drove from Negril almost 3 hours to Appleton Estate, but it was really worth it. The tour incl. rum tastings was very informative, we have had a great time at Appleton Estate, our tour guide Peter was great.

We had wanted to visit the distillery on previous visit to Jamaica but eventually got there we started off with a welcome drink ink in the bar upon arrival then you move to a cinema to watch a film on the history behind Appleton's from there you begin the tour of past methods and onto current methods of production with sugarcane tasting followed by a tour of the ageing warehouse and ending up at a rum tasting session after all the rum with decided to have a jerk lunch in the restaurant which was a very reasonable price.

Fun and interesting tour. We had a full tour of the distillery from a nice rum welcome drink to tasting raw sugar cane sticks, molasses, juice freshly squeezed directly from a sugar cane and 3 different aged rums. Sad to hear that Appleton sold out to the Italian's Camprai in 2012.

Organized, fun, informative, interactive session led by professionals whose performance indicates that they have care for clients and other staff. A clean environment with history that is as rich as the product it bottles. I would easily recommend this experience to anyone including those who dont regularly consume alcohol.
